MAC and Kanarys have partnered together to collect and analyze the data for this joint report as part of the ATL Action for Racial Equity initiative. This will be a multi-year, multi-step process to analyze and provide insight to the business community about how they can work to advance racial equity in Metro Atlanta. The intent of this first joint report is to provide a narrative of the data findings from this 2021 Assessment.

For our 2021 assessment report, we asked every respondent, "Overall how would you self-identify your organization in their racial equity journey?" – the below results summarize what percentage of organizations fit into each category.
